We've been doing a whole lot of swimming and eating shaved ice around here to beat the 98 plus temps. And it's been a lot of fun. Our Botond cousins also generously offered Sloane a spot in their group lesson and we said heck yea! She learned A LOT this session and is getting so confident in the pool now. Last summer, she didn't even want to get her face wet, so we are so excited about our progress. Clay did not take a lesson this time but was definitely in attendance. I was trying to get a normal smile shot from Clay but failed miserably. This is not shocking. For a kid who smiles so much, he gives me nada on my pics. Little squirt. (by the way, squirt is what Sloane called Clay the other day while trying to round him up for bathtime...it was hilarious and I have no idea where she learned it!) Clay was not as amused by the name calling as I was.

We have that same bathing suit, and Mattie's nickname for Whitney is "Little Squirt!" Too funny....I think it's a very cute term of endearment, so I've been letting her keep using it.
