November

I know that you are all very impressed with my uniquely titled posts but if I'm going to catch up this blog, then I figured I needed to be succint with my words. Today is actually February 1st and it is a cold, blustery day, so the kids and I are having a pajama day and I'm pretty much letting them o.d. on movies this morning, so I have time to do important things like this post and laundry. We felt bad for poor daddy having to get out in this depressing weather. He might have a snow day on Friday, though if the forecasters are right. Weird for Houston, Texas

On November 29, we celebrated Lucina's birthday. Boy, are we glad she was born! I have a wonderful sister and friend! And the coconut cream pie was deeeelish, also :0).

The birthday girl in the special hat mom got for her. Ha.

These pies were some of the dishes I made for Thanksgiving. We celebrated that this month too and it was a fabulous meal this year I have to say. Pumpkin pie and cherry cobbler are pictured. I ended up making like 7 things this year? I don't quite know what came over me.

The kids played tea with their animals.
Um. I guess this was another pj day. We love pj days.

Stephie came to visit and we all wrapped up presents for some kids in Haiti. It was very fun for all of us to pick it all out and wrap it up.
I hope we do it again next year.

Steph also came to Sloane's soccer game. Last one of the season.

We played in the dirt/sand outside of the church b/c Sloane always needs to use the potty in the big church after I pick her up from playschool and then we inevitable explore the baptism fountain and need to use the swings and of course play in the sand before we can get on our way.

Also, right by church/preschool is the Great Southwestern Equestrian Center and it is one of the kids favorite things to go watch the horse shows. Well, really to walk around and explore and not sit and watch.

Daddy wanted us to go to the Turkik festival and we ended up having fun. I did not extremely enjoy the mosque that was there but we had fun together.
AND most importantly, they had a camel - in downtown Houston. Loved it. And yes, I was a little concerned with the no straps but they did great. I guess the height kept them holding on tight.
A gatorade break.

And scary carnival ride. I was more nervous about this than the camel!

Also, this month, Sloane turned on the splash park water in our neighborhood while they were both dressed for a walk. They got soaked, especially Clay, and had a chilly walk back home but had a blast.
Completely. Soaked.

We were also a little goofy in November. Par for the course.
