Big fat juicy ones, long thin slimy ones.

Worms! Of course. In late July, yes, I realize I am blogging backwards. That's just how I roll, people.

We got a big rainstorm on this particular day and we were out in the driveway goofing around, as the rain had cooled it down a little, when we noticed in the gushing water on the sides of the road what appeared to be sticks or plant debris. Sloane, however, being much smarter and more observant than me, correctly told me that they were actually worms!!!! It was so gross, y'all. I thought it was little sticks but it was hundreds if not thousands of earthworms! And some of them looked like they were tied together in tiny worm balls. It was one of the strangest things I've seen. And it kept us entertained for at least a good thirty minutes. Now, after a rain, we are sure to check for the worm parade. Hasn't happened again, though.

I posted a couple of "outtakes" so you would appreciate how hard it is to get some people to simmer down enough for photos. And if you think these past two posts have been "Clay-centric", you would be right. I was trying to get a couple of decent pictures of him at his "2 year old" self. Sloane managed to get in a few, as well :).

I meant to comment on this one! We had the exact thing happen here, and I'm thinking it was right around the same day as yours. Our house was covered with them. All over the patio, on the windows, some even got in the house! I think it WAS raining worms! Crazy! Cute pictures!
