The Winning Season
Sloane's soccer season ended and her team, the Strikers were definitely a winning team - if overly competitive parents were even keeping score like we surely were NOT. He he. We loved her team and her coach so much. We all had a great time together and, hopefully, she will get to play with the same girls and coaches again in the spring. It is a good thing they do not play in the summer or we would all be a puddle like a melted ice cream cone - dang baby is it hot or what?? You can see from Clay's face at Sloane's end of season party that we were outside for our celebration and it was quite warm. He lights up like a beet when hot and it takes a long time for his ears to turn back to their normal color. But he looks so cute! It may not look like it in this picture, but I think Sloane really liked both her coaches. At the beginning of the season, she was a little shy about running to the ball and getting in with the gaggle of girls and both of the coaches would take turns grabbing her hand and running with her on the field toward the ball to encourage her. It was really a cute sight. Everyone thought Sloane was so sweet and the coach's wife, Ms. Angela, would always ask me if she could take her home. (and they have 3 girls already . . . plus a new puppy that Sloane and Clay adored)!!! So that was quite a compliment to Sloane, I think. Oh, and both Clay and Sloane clearly enjoyed the cupcakes HA.

Isn't this how everyone eats an orange?

Granny made it out to the final game!
